Bluehost is holding my domain hostage.

A couple of years ago, when I was getting serious about starting a business, I did all the research, took all the classes, and got all the information. I followed everybody’s advice and created a WordPress website using Bluehost.

My gut told me this was probably a bad idea and that I should stick with what I know and use Wix or Squarespace, but I went in feeling positive and ready to learn new things. Also, Bluehost promised to be cheaper than the others.

It quickly became overwhelming. Everything needed a plug-in, and every plug-in needed tweaks and updates, and they were all asking for money to work better.

It was a lot to keep track of on top of everything else that came with starting a new business. Plus, Bluehost was so slow and tedious that I often felt like pulling my hair out and wondered if I had made a mistake.

Fast forward a year, and life got in the way. A divorce and a relocation forced me to work full-time, leaving me with no time to finish my website or focus on my business.

Now, I want my business to be profitable enough to live off of. I said to hell with Bluehost and purchased a Wix website. It’s easy to use (you can literally drag and drop everything), and it has all the features I need for my business.
